How We Got Here
Every love story is beautiful, but this one is our favourite.
Chapter 01
The Blue Ticks
Our story started with a WhatsApp message in September 2024. Gerhardt messaged first — I left him on read more than once and played hard to get. Neither of us knew those little blue ticks would become the beginning of forever.
Chapter 02
A Shared Path
In December 2024, we started working at the same lodge. I wasn't looking for a relationship, and I resisted with every excuse — even our age gap. But working side by side, Gerhardt's patience and kindness slowly won me over.
Chapter 03
Ocean Basket & Ten Roses
Our first date was at Ocean Basket. Gerhardt arrived with ten roses, sharing one reason he liked me with each. That's when I realised he genuinely wanted to know me.
Chapter 04
"It's Not a Yes..."
A few months later, Gerhardt asked me to be his girlfriend. My answer: "It's not a yes... but it's also not a no." He never gave up.
Chapter 05
The Hospital Plot Twist
Soon after, Gerhardt was hospitalised and I took him in. On the admission form, under "relationship to patient," I wrote: Girlfriend. He smiled and said, "I guess you just made it official."
Chapter 06
The Best "Yes"
After 11 months, Gerhardt asked the easiest question I've ever answered. This time it was an overwhelming Yes! Two weeks later, we celebrated our first anniversary as an engaged couple.
A New Chapter
The Beginning of Forever
Today we stand on the edge of our greatest adventure — excited to become husband and wife, build a home rooted in faith and love, and grow our family together. Every step, even the blue ticks and the ten roses, was part of God's plan. Thank you for celebrating this chapter with us.
